
New Delhi: Fresh tremors were reported in Delhi on Thursday following a powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 on the Richter scale that struck Afghanistan. The quake’s epicenter was identified by the US Geological Survey as 44 km SSW of Jurm in Afghanistan, occurring at a depth of 206.6 km.
The seismic activity sent strong tremors across the region, reaching Delhi and causing vibrations in several parts of the city. Additionally, Lahore, Islamabad, and cities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Pakistan experienced significant tremors.
Authorities are monitoring the situation, and residents are advised to stay alert and follow safety guidelines in the aftermath of the seismic activity.
