
Patiala: Ace Sprinter Dutee Chand from Odisha has set a new national record in women’s 100 metre race at the Indian Grand Prix-4 organized by the Athletics Federation of India held in Patiala on Monday.
Dutee broke her own national record by clocking 11.17 seconds in the 100 metre race. However, she could not achieve the Olympic qualification time of 11.15 seconds.
To qualify for the Tokyo Olympics she has to achieve the Olympics qualification time at the National Inter-State Athletics Championships to be held in Patiala from June 25.
