Dutee Chand Qualifies for Tokyo Olympics

Bhubaneswar: Ace sprinter from Odisha Dutee Chand has qualified for Tokyo Olympics in 100 and 200 metre sprint.

She has been selected on the basis of world ranking.

On June 21, Dutee set a new national record in women’s 100 metre sprint event with 11.17 seconds at the Indian Grand Prix-4 organized by the Athletics Federation of India in Patiala. 

Odisha government on Tuesday recommended her name for the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award.
