Dubai-based Odia woman wins top business award

Bhubaneswar: UAE based Odia entrepreneur Madhusmita Nayak has been awarded with the Inspiring Woman Business Leader Award 2021 during the Women Leadership Summit 2021 held in Dubai recently. She hails from Bhubaneswar.

The Women Leadership Summit has been launched in association with the private office of his highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Faisal Al Qassimi to appreciate the commendable work done by women leaders in various fields. 

Overwhelmed by the appreciation, Madhusmita said, “I am honoured to have been recognised with the award”. 

Daughter of Dr Chaturbhuja Nayak and Bidulata Nayak, Madhusmita has completed her Engineering in Electronics from ITER, Odisha. 

She moved to UAE 13 years back and presently working as Senior Strategy and Business Excellence Specialist in Ports, Customs and Free Zone, Government of Dubai.

In 2020 she received the Distinguished Leadership Award for her contribution in the field of Education at the International Education Summit and Awards 2020 held on December 20.

She was also voted as LinkedIn’s most powerful profile of the year 2020.

She has been representing the Government of Dubai and Abu Dhabi in conducting business excellence and innovation, labour rights assessments for more than 50 companies from diversified sectors and industry which includes government, semi-government and private firms in UAE and in other countries.
