DPIIT Partners with Startup Policy Forum to Bolster India’s Innovation Ecosystem

New Delhi: In a landmark move to enhance India’s burgeoning startup ecosystem, the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, entered into a strategic partnership with the Startup Policy Forum (SPF) on Thursday. The collaboration aims to position India as a global hub for innovation and entrepreneurship.

As part of the National Startup Week celebrations, the SPF Baithak—a premier gathering of founders and policymakers—will be held on January 15-16 at Bharat Mandapam. This platform will host announcements of new initiatives and collaborations between DPIIT and SPF members. The partnership will also focus on organizing immersive programs to connect global investors with Indian startups, offering a firsthand view of the nation’s groundbreaking innovations.

Joint Secretary of Startup India, Sanjiv, highlighted the significance of the collaboration, stating,

“This strategic partnership with SPF underscores DPIIT’s unwavering commitment to fostering an ecosystem where startups can thrive and contribute to India’s vision of becoming a global innovation hub.”

Sanjiv also emphasized that SPF members embody India’s entrepreneurial spirit, and their involvement will be instrumental in achieving the nation’s goal of a developed India by 2047.

Shweta Rajpal Kohli, President & CEO of SPF, praised the alliance, noting,

“This partnership reflects the shared aspirations of DPIIT and SPF to build a resilient and thriving startup ecosystem. By fostering collaborations between SPF members and DPIIT, we aim to secure India’s position on the global innovation map and empower entrepreneurs to unlock their full potential.”

The DPIIT-SPF alliance seeks to:
