The Empowered Committee was constituted under Rajnath Singh’s directives to comprehensively assess the IAF’s future needs and formulate a clear action plan. It was chaired by the Defence Secretary and included Vice Chief of Air Staff, Secretary (Defence Production), Secretary (Department of Defence R&D) and DRDO Chairman, DG Acquisition, and Deputy Chief of the Air Staff as Member Secretary.
