
New Delhi: Vaccination for children for the age group of 15-18 years will begin from 3 January 3, 2022 across the country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced this in a live video message today evening.
He further announced that people above 60 years of age with comorbidities will be eligible for precaution doses on doctors recommendation from January 10, 2022.
This apart, healthcare and frontline workers will also get precautionary vaccine doses from January 10, 2022.
As of now, India has administered 141 Crore doses of Covid Vaccine. More than 90% eligible population has been vaccinated with the first dose of vaccine, he informed.
