
Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik celebrated Odisha’s hockey champions, Amit Rohidas and Deep Grace Ekka, for their exceptional achievements at the Hangzhou Asian Games. Amit Rohidas received a cash award of Rs 1.5 crore for the gold medal, while Deep Grace Ekka was honored with a Rs 50 lakh cash prize for the bronze.
Both athletes played for the Indian Hockey Teams, with the men’s team clinching gold and securing a place at the Paris Olympics 2024, while the women’s team earned a bronze.
The Chief Minister expressed immense pride in these players’ accomplishments, acknowledging their dedication, hard work, and extraordinary talent that have brought honor to the state.
