Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi departed for New Delhi today on a two-day visit packed with high-level engagements and strategic meetings with industry leaders. The visit is aimed at fostering partnerships, attracting major investments, and steering Odisha toward becoming a leading industrial powerhouse.
During his visit, CM Majhi will address a gathering of key stakeholders, industry captains, and potential investors, where he will outline the state government’s bold vision for Odisha’s future. He is expected to highlight the sweeping reforms and investor-friendly initiatives undertaken by the state to create a conducive business environment.
A major highlight of the visit will be the signing of several strategic Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with leading public sector undertakings. These include Indian Oil Corporation Ltd, Petronet LNG, and Indian Strategic Petrochemical Reserves Ltd. The agreements are set to catalyze large-scale investments in Odisha’s petrochemical and chemical sectors.
“These MoUs will not only reinforce Odisha’s existing industrial ecosystem but will also generate employment, encourage innovation, and pave the way for sustainable economic growth,” a senior official from the Chief Minister’s Office noted.
The collaborations also align with the state’s larger ambition to position itself as a crucial player in India’s petrochemical value chain and contribute significantly to the nation’s energy and industrial security.
Further emphasizing Odisha’s push for innovation-led industrialization, CM Majhi will visit the HCL Tech campus in Noida. The visit symbolizes Odisha’s commitment to integrating advanced technology and digital infrastructure into its industrial development blueprint.
The Chief Minister will also hold one-on-one meetings with influential business leaders and CEOs from various sectors, including manufacturing, IT, renewable energy, and logistics. These discussions will explore collaborative avenues for investment, skill development, and infrastructure development in Odisha.
“This visit is more than just a formal event—it is a decisive step toward realizing the vision of Purvodaya, the resurgence of Eastern India,” said CM Majhi before his departure. “Odisha is determined to seize every opportunity to transform into a vibrant hub of industry, innovation, and employment.”
The state government’s proactive approach has already garnered attention at the national level, with Odisha being recognized for its policy reforms, infrastructure expansion, and skilled workforce.
The Chief Minister is expected to return to Bhubaneswar on April 9 after completing a packed schedule that could set the tone for a new phase of industrial growth in Odisha.
