The visit was marked by significant engagements and interactions aimed at reviewing the progress and operations of the Southern Naval Command.

Upon arrival at INS Garuda, Admiral Tripathi was welcomed with a ceremonial Guard of Honour. He later met with Vice Admiral V Srinivas, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Southern Naval Command, and received a detailed briefing on the various operational, training, infrastructure, and administrative initiatives undertaken by the Command. As the training hub of the Indian Navy, the Command also showcased the advancements in training facilities, modernization efforts, and updates on disaster relief operations, particularly the assistance provided during the recent Wayanad landslides. The CNS acknowledged the Command’s progress and expressed his appreciation for their efforts.

During his visit, Admiral Tripathi inaugurated the newly renovated Command Stadium at Naval Base, Kochi. This modern sports facility features an international standard eight-lane synthetic track, a central football field, and other athletic amenities.
