Chairman 5T and Nabin Odisha Reviews Developmental Progress in Keonjhar District

Bhubaneswar: Chairman 5T and Nabin Odisha, Kartik Pandian visited Keonjhar District to assess the advancements in various developmental projects as directed by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. His itinerary included participation in the Nua-O Program at DD University Ground and engaging with students from all Keonjhar colleges.

Addressing the students, Pandian highlighted the significance of the Nua-O program, providing a platform for young talents to showcase their skills and foster overall personality development. He encouraged students to work diligently with self-confidence, emphasizing that college transformation projects in the district would be completed by February. Pandian motivated them to aspire for greatness, citing achievements of notable individuals from Keonjhar district.

The visit also involved a review of the Maa Tara Tarini Temple development in Ghatagaon, with a budget of Rs. 50 Crs. Additionally, Pandian assessed the progress of major irrigation projects such as Kanupur Irrigation Project, Anandapur Barrage Project, and Mega Lift Irrigation Projects, collectively costing Rs. 6120 Crs and catering to an ayacut area of 2,44,550 Acres.

Two Instream Storage Structures at Santeibhanja and Telkoi, undertaken based on public demands and grievances, were also examined, with a total budget of Rs. 96 Crs. Other major projects reviewed included the transformation of Bhimkund into a tourist destination (Rs. 19 Crs), development of Baladev Jew Temple, Gupt Ganga & Brahmeswar Temple at Gonasika, Sitabinji Temple, and Sidha Matha in Keonjhar (Rs. 14 Crs).

Pandian also scrutinized extensive projects, including Drinking Water Projects covering the entire district (Rs. 4068 Crs), major Road Projects (Rs. 219 Crs), and various Major Bridge Projects.

Engaging with the public at Silsuan in Keonjhar, Pandian received grievances on diverse issues, assuring prompt resolutions.
