Chairman 5T and Nabin Odisha Kartik Pandian launches Nua-O Scholarships program in Kalahandi, Bolangir and Bargarh

Bhubaneswar: Kartik Pandian, Chairman 5T and Nabin Odisha, on the directives of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, visited Kalahandi, Balangir, and Bargarh districts to oversee the Nua-O Scholarship Distribution Programme. The initiative aims to support eligible students and empower them with financial assistance.

During the visit, Kartik Pandian attended the scholarship distribution events in Dharmagarh (Kalahandi), Titilagarh (Balangir), and Bargarh, interacting with students from the respective districts. A total of 37,160 eligible students from 80 colleges across the three districts will benefit from the scholarship, amounting to Rs. 36.81 Crores in sanction. Kartik Pandian personally distributed Nua-O Scholarship Sanction Orders to the deserving students.

He conveyed Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s message to the youth, encouraging them to dream big and work hard toward realizing their potential. The government is committed to providing necessary support to help youth achieve their goals.

Additionally, Kartik Pandian unveiled the government’s next major initiative, the Nabin Odisha Magic Card. This futuristic smart card, based on a points system, aims to engage and empower the youth by supporting academic development, personality enhancement, and skill development. The card is designed to alleviate financial burdens on parents, create opportunities for career advancement, and open doors to employment.

The online registration portal for the Nabin Odisha Magic Card is set to launch on March 5th, 2024. All UG and PG students, without any income criteria, will be eligible for the card, and its distribution is scheduled for August 15th. The card is expected to revolutionize the educational landscape in Odisha, fostering holistic development among students and preparing them for future challenges.
