Centre Will Procure 75 Percent of Vaccines, Free Vaccinations From June 21

New Delhi: Addressing the nation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that the union government will procure 75 percent of the Covid-19 vaccines from the vaccine manufacturers and distribute them to the state government for free. Earlier, the state government had to procure medicines for the vaccination of people in the age group of 18 to 44.

With the new announcement, from June 21 everyone in all age groups will be vaccinated in the country for free.

The remaining 25 percent of the vaccines will be available for the private hospitals. They can charge Rs 150 as the service charge for the vaccination.
