CDS General Anil Chauhan Explores Cutting-edge Telecom Solutions at C-DOT Delhi Campus

Delhi: In a significant development, Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan visited the Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT) Delhi Campus, a premier Telecom Research and Development (R&D) center under the Department of Telecommunications, Ministry of Communications, Government of India. The visit focused on exploring indigenous, secure telecom solutions aligned with the Atmanirbhar Bharat vision of the government.

During the visit, CEO of C-DOT, Dr. Rajkumar Upadhyay, delivered a comprehensive presentation to CDS General Anil Chauhan and other senior officers from the Armed Forces. The presentation covered a diverse Telecom product portfolio, emphasizing key areas such as security operation centers, enterprise security centers, Quantum key distribution, Post Quantum Cryptography, 4G/5G core and RAN, disaster management solutions, optical transport and access solutions, and switching and routing solutions.

The CEO followed the presentation with lab demonstrations showcasing the practical applications and use cases of these advanced telecom solutions. General Chauhan engaged with C-DOT engineers and highlighted the importance of enhanced synergy between C-DOT and the Armed Forces. He stressed the need for integrating futuristic and advanced secured communication solutions in response to the evolving landscape of modern warfare, transitioning from network-centric to data-centric operations.

CEO C-DOT, Dr. Upadhyay, affirmed C-DOT’s commitment to developing state-of-the-art security solutions tailored to the needs of the Indian Armed Forces. General Anil Chauhan expressed confidence in the nation’s ability to safeguard communication systems and cyberspace after the insightful visit to C-DOT.

“Our country is in the midst of transformation; we are moving on the path of digitization. The visit to C-DOT was a revelation; I go back confident of our nation’s ability to protect our communication system and cyberspace,” stated General Anil Chauhan.

C-DOT extended gratitude to the defense team, led by CDS General Chauhan, expressing enthusiasm and reaffirming its strong commitment to furthering the engagement with resounding success.
