
New Delhi: The Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine (CCRUM), under the Ministry of Ayush, in collaboration with the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM), is hosting a significant two-day webinar from August 7-8, 2024. The event focuses on “Quality Standards for Healthcare Delivery System in Unani Medicine” and the digital initiatives of CCRUM, alongside the launch of the Studentship Programme in Unani Research (SPUR).
The webinar aims to underscore the importance of maintaining high standards and various accreditation and certification processes essential for quality healthcare within the Unani system. It also seeks to introduce and discuss the digital initiatives taken by CCRUM to enhance the field. Approximately 200 participants from 50 Unani academic institutions and councils are taking part in this event.
Dr. N. Zaheer Ahmed, Director General of CCRUM, opened the webinar with a welcome and introductory address. During the inaugural session, Vaidya Jayant Devpujari, President of NCISM, launched the SPUR program, designed to cultivate research interests and aptitudes among undergraduates in Unani Medicine.
The second day will feature a valedictory address by Dr. K. Jagannathan, President of NCISM (BUSS), who will provide closing remarks and reflections on the outcomes of the webinar.
