Phulbani: In a mishap near Srikala Ghat close to G. Udayagiri in Odisha’s Kandhamal district today, three individuals, including Ollywood actor Abhishek Giri, sustained injuries when the car they were traveling in met with an accident.
The incident occurred after the trio, comprising Giri who was driving, actress Sayan Mukherjee, and another individual named Sunil Patnaik, were returning from the shoot of the Odia movie ‘Adryusya.’
The car, reportedly facing poor visibility due to dense fog, veered out of control. It collided with the guard wall, skidding for approximately 100 meters before overturning.
Local residents promptly rescued the injured occupants and rushed them to G. Udayagiri Hospital for medical attention. An investigation by the police is currently underway to ascertain the circumstances leading to the accident.
