BMC includes Jatayu machines to keep Bhubaneswar clean

Bhubaneswar: To keep the city clean, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has included two mechanical garbage suction machines called ‘Jatayu’.

The machine has the capacity to suck 273 cubic feet (100 kg) of waste per minute, including green waste from vegetable markets.

Two agencies will handle the machines. While the agency named ‘Jagruti’ will deploy the machine for cleaning garbage from the main roads of the city, the agency named ‘Pratyush’ will clean the internal roads of the city.
