
Bhubaneswar: In a significant political development, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Odisha has announced its decision to contest all 21 Lok Sabha and 147 Assembly seats independently. State Unit president Manmohan Samal took to X (formerly Twitter) to make the declaration, underlining the party’s commitment to a vision of a developed India and Odisha under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
In a post in social media, Samal said, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will fight alone this time in all 21 Lok Sabha and 147 Assembly seats to create a developed India and a developed Odisha under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to fulfil the hope, expectation and aspiration of 4.5 crore Odiyas.
Expressing gratitude towards the Naveen Patnaik-led Biju Janata Dal (BJD), Samal acknowledged the support extended by the party over the past decade on various national issues of significance.
