Bhubaneswar: Kartik Pandian, a senior leader of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD), has kicked off his campaign in Semiliguda in Koraput, Bissam Cuttack and Gunupur constituencies of Rayagada district ahead of the upcoming general elections.
Addressing enthusiastic crowds in Koraput and Rayagada, Pandian urged the people to ensure a resounding victory for BJD candidates in the upcoming elections. He emphasized the importance of electing representatives who are committed to the development and welfare of Odisha.
In his speech, Pandian criticized the opposition parties, accusing them of insincerity and making empty promises during election season. He highlighted the contrast between the opposition’s rhetoric and the BJD’s track record of delivering tangible benefits to the people of Odisha.
“Opposition leaders shed crocodile tears for the people during elections, but their actions speak louder than words. While the BJD has implemented schemes like Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana to provide healthcare services to lakhs of people, the opposition is conspiring to obstruct progress,” Pandian stated.
He also underscored the importance of programs like Mission Shakti and criticized the opposition for their attempts to undermine such initiatives. Pandian called upon the electorate to reject empty promises and support the BJD candidates who have demonstrated their commitment to serving the people.
Joining Pandian in the campaign were prominent BJD leaders including Kausalya Hikaka, the BJD MP candidate, Jagannath Saraka, MLA candidate for Bissam Cuttack, Raghunath Gamang, MLA candidate for Gunupur, and several other senior party members.
As the election season heats up, the BJD’s campaign in Rayagada district is poised to energize voters and mobilize support for the party’s vision of inclusive growth and development in Odisha. With elections drawing closer, the political landscape in the region is set for intense competition as parties vie for the trust and confidence of the electorate.
