Bhubaneswar Airport to Launch New Domestic Flight Routes in January 2025

Bhubaneswar: Fliers in Bhubaneswar have reason to cheer as the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) gears up to expand its air connectivity with new domestic flight routes. Starting January 2025, IndiGo and Air India Express will introduce several new services, bolstering the airport’s network and enhancing travel options for passengers.

IndiGo will launch flights to Indore four days a week and Dehradun three days a week starting January 1, 2025. Both routes will depart from Bhubaneswar at 3:00 PM, offering convenient afternoon travel options.

Air India Express will add three weekly flights to Lucknow and Jaipur, beginning January 1, and will introduce daily flights to Cochin starting January 3.

BPIA authorities also announced plans for new Air India Express flights to Bengaluru, set to begin on January 4. These flights will leave Bhubaneswar at 6:15 AM, catering to early-morning travelers, and return at 12:20 midnight.

Air India Express has ambitious plans to connect Bhubaneswar to five additional destinations, further strengthening the city’s position as a growing aviation hub in eastern India.

The introduction of these routes reflects the increasing demand for air travel from Bhubaneswar and aligns with the airport’s commitment to providing better connectivity and convenience for passengers.

With these additions, BPIA is poised to play a pivotal role in connecting Odisha to major cities across India, making travel smoother and more accessible for both business and leisure travelers.
