Bhitarkanika Will Remain Closed for 10 Days in January

Kendrapara: Bhitarkanika National Park will be closed for 10 days in January to carry out crocodile census.

The crocodile census will start from January 2 and continue till January 11. During this period, tourists would be prohibited from entering the national park.

Bhitarkanika is home to salt water crocodiles. During the 2021 census, 1768 saltwater crocodiles were recorded. 

The national park will reopen for tourists from January 12, 2022.
