Bhubaneswar: Applicants who secure flats under the Bhubaneswar Development Authority’s (BDA) Ekamra Residency housing project at Subudhipur will have their ₹10,000 application fee adjusted against the flat cost, while unsuccessful applicants will receive a full refund of their ₹2.1 lakh deposit, the Authority decided at its 153rd meeting on Wednesday.

Among those present were Ekamra MLA Babu Singh, Jatni Municipality Chairman Ananta Behera, Housing and Urban Development Additional Chief Secretary Usha Padhee, BDA Vice-Chairman Chanchal Rana and other senior officials.
The Authority also approved several concessions for successful applicants under the housing scheme. Applications for allotment are currently underway, and the flats are ready for occupation.
Spread over 7.36 acres at Subudhipur, Ekamra Residency comprises three residential towers offering two-bedroom and two-bedroom-plus-study apartments. The project includes earthquake-resistant structures, landscaped open spaces, a swimming pool, gymnasium, community hall, children’s play area and jogging track. Other facilities include a sewage treatment plant, water recharge system, power backup, CCTV surveillance and fire safety systems.
The Authority discussed the implementation of 10 Town Planning (TP) schemes covering a combined area of 1,815 acres across several mouzas in and around Bhubaneswar. The schemes are expected to support planned urban expansion and infrastructure development.
