BCCI Issues Warning Against Fraudulent Advertisements Promising NCA Entry

Mumbai:  The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has issued a stern warning against fraudulent advertisements circulating on various platforms, falsely promising aspiring cricketers admission to the prestigious National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru.

In a recent statement, Jay Shah, the Honorary Secretary of the BCCI, clarified that the board does not charge any fees for entry into the NCA. He emphasized that the selection process for the NCA is strictly merit-based, and the facility is exclusively open to BCCI-contracted players, those in the targeted group, and cricketers recommended by State Associations. The NCA does not entertain applications from any other agencies.

The fraudulent advertisements have misled cricketers, coaches, and the general public by claiming to offer entry into the NCA for a fee. The BCCI strongly advises individuals to exercise caution and refrain from falling victim to such deceptive schemes.

Jay Shah further urged aspiring cricketers to approach their respective State Associations for accurate information and guidance regarding the admission process to the NCA. The BCCI is committed to maintaining the integrity of its selection procedures and ensuring that aspiring talent is nurtured through legitimate channels.

This cautionary statement comes as part of the BCCI’s ongoing efforts to combat fraudulent activities and protect the interests of cricket enthusiasts across the country. The board encourages individuals to report any suspicious advertisements or communications claiming affiliation with the BCCI or the NCA.

The BCCI remains dedicated to fostering a transparent and fair environment for cricket development, and it will take necessary actions against those attempting to exploit the dreams of aspiring cricketers through deceptive means.
