
Australia cricket legend and one of the best leg spinner, Shane Warne passed away on Friday. He was 52.
In a statement released by Warne’s management informed that Warne breathed his last in his villa in Koh Samui, Thailand, of a suspected heart attack.
“Shane was found unresponsive in his villa and despite the best efforts of medical staff, he could not be revived,” the statement read.
This is the second sad in less than 24 hours for Australian Cricket fraternity as earlier, the shattering news of the demise of Rod Marsh came.
Just before his demise, Shane Warne has also condoled the demise of fellow cricketer Marsh. He had tweeted, “Sad to hear the news that Rod Marsh has passed. He was a legend of our great game & inspiration to so many young boys & girls. Rod cared deeply about cricket & gave so much-especially to Australia & England players. Sending lots & lots of love to Ros & the family. RIP mate.”
Warne has been the part of the World Cup winning Australian team five times. He is known for his unique leg spin bowling.
