Anubhav Awards Scheme Recognizes Exemplary Public Service Contributions

New Delhi:  The Anubhav Awards Scheme, initiated to encourage retiring employees to share their career experiences on the ‘Anubhav Portal,’ has successfully recognized 54 awardees and conferred 9 Jury Certificates since its inception in 2015. The scheme aims to document the administrative history of India by capturing the valuable experiences and insights of retiring government employees.

In an effort to motivate the current generation of Central Government employees, the Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare (DOPPW) launched a monthly nationwide Webinar Series titled “Anubhav Awardees Speak” in November 2022. The series, which has held fourteen webinars to date, features distinguished speakers who have excelled in their respective fields, sharing their experiences and insights.

The latest webinar, held on January 24, 2024, was chaired by Secretary (Pension), Shri V. Srinivas. The guest speaker, Shri Mohammad Jamshed, former Member (Traffic), Railway Board, and Anubhav Awardee 2023, discussed the pivotal role of Railways in the nation-building process. He shared his insights on achieving goals, emphasizing the “4Rs” – Reform, Reversal, Revival, and Regain. Shri Jamshed urged participants to focus on the present, highlighting its significance in shaping a successful future.

Secretary (Pension) expressed gratitude to Shri Mohammad Jamshed for his valuable contributions and underscored the importance of the webinar series. He encouraged retiring employees to contribute to the ‘Anubhav Portal,’ emphasizing the role it plays in documenting India’s administrative history. The webinar, attended by participants from 526 locations across the country, serves as a platform for knowledge exchange and inspiration among Central Government employees.

The Anubhav Awards Scheme continues to play a crucial role in recognizing and celebrating the exemplary public service contributions of retiring government employees, contributing to the preservation of institutional knowledge and administrative history.
