Amit Shah Inaugurates National Security Strategies Conference 2024 in New Delhi

New Delhi: Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Amit Shah, inaugurated the two-day National Security Strategies Conference 2024 in New Delhi today. The conference, aimed at addressing and devising solutions for emerging national security challenges, will bring together top police leadership, young officers, and domain experts.

Prior to the inauguration, Amit Shah paid tribute to fallen heroes by laying a wreath at the Martyrs’ column, honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

As part of the conference, Shah also launched the DGsP/IGsP Conference Recommendations’ Dashboard developed by the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB). This dashboard is intended to facilitate the implementation of decisions made during the annual DGsP/IGsP Conference chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The National Security Strategies Conference is a strategic initiative conceived by Prime Minister Modi during the DGsP/IGsP Conference, with the goal of tackling major national security challenges through in-depth discussions. The conference aims to foster collaboration between senior police leaders, young officers, and specialized domain experts. Prime Minister Modi had previously suggested that the conference be held in a hybrid format to enable broader participation.

This year’s conference is being conducted in a hybrid mode, combining both physical and virtual formats. Over 750 officers from across the country are participating, with senior officials including Ministers of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai and Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan, and Additional/Deputy National Security Advisors (NSA) attending in person. DGsP of States and Union Territories, as well as young police officers and domain experts, are joining remotely from state capitals.
