Amit Shah Hails Transparent Recruitment in Tripura, Says State Moving Towards Development

Agartala: Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Amit Shah, lauded the Tripura government’s transparent recruitment process while addressing a virtual event for the distribution of over 2,800 appointment letters to newly recruited government employees in the state. He emphasized that the current administration, under Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha, has ensured that job opportunities are provided without any discrimination, favoritism, or corruption.

Shah noted that the recruitment process, which saw 2,437 Multi-Tasking Staff and 370 Health Department positions filled, marks a new beginning for the youth of Tripura. “These young individuals are now an integral part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for a developed Tripura and a developed India,” he said.

Highlighting the transformation of the Northeast under the Modi government, Shah stated that the region, once plagued by insurgency, infiltration, and corruption, is now known for development, connectivity, and economic growth. He credited the government’s commitment to the region, with over 700 visits by Union ministers in the last decade, leading to significant infrastructure projects and investments.

The Union Home Minister also underscored the Modi government’s efforts in restoring peace in Tripura through three key agreements in the last ten years. He pointed out that the Bru-Reang community has benefited immensely, gaining permanent residency, education, healthcare, and employment opportunities. Additionally, all insurgent groups in the state have surrendered and integrated into the mainstream, fostering an environment of peace and progress.

Shah further stated that under the leadership of former Chief Minister Biplab Deb and the current Chief Minister Manik Saha, Tripura has witnessed unprecedented development. “The state has transitioned from being landlocked to land-linked, with significant advancements in airports, roads, irrigation, and water conservation,” he said. He asserted that the biggest achievement of the government has been eliminating corruption and unrest, ensuring that Tripura moves forward on the path of growth and stability.
