Bengaluru Teen Abducted on Way to Tuition, Found Burnt Hours Later

Bengaluru: A 13-year-old boy who went missing on Wednesday evening was found dead just hours later, his burnt body discovered in a deserted area of the city. The victim, Nishchith A, a Class 8 student at Christ School, had left home around 5 p.m. to attend tuition but never returned.

According to police, Nishchith’s parents became concerned when he failed to arrive home by 7:30 p.m. After contacting the tuition teacher, who confirmed that the boy had already left, the family began searching for him. His bicycle was soon located near Arekere Family Park.

Shortly after, the family received a phone call from an unknown number demanding ₹5 lakh as ransom for the boy’s safe return. Alarmed, they reported the incident to the Hulimavu police, who registered a case of abduction and began tracing the caller’s location.

Later that night, police found Nishchith’s charred body in an isolated area along Kaggalipura Road. The remains were sent for post-mortem examination, and forensic teams collected evidence from the scene.

The boy’s father, J.C. Achit, is an assistant professor at a private college. The police have launched an intensive investigation and are working to identify those behind the abduction and murder.
