Odisha Triumphs in IDC Under-19 National Cricket Tournament for the Hearing Impaired

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha cricket team clinched the coveted title in the IDC Under-19 National Cricket Tournament for the hearing impaired, delivering a stellar performance that highlighted their exceptional skill and determination. The victory has brought immense pride to the state and stands as a testament to the resilience and talent of differently-abled athletes.

The Director of the Department of Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Niyati Pattnaik, extended her heartfelt congratulations to the victorious team. In a special ceremony, she felicitated the players, commending their remarkable achievements and contributions to Odisha’s growing reputation in inclusive sports.

In a further boost to the state’s sporting legacy, two Odia players made their mark internationally. Team Manager Sagar Kant Senapati and all-rounder  Santosh Kumar Mahapatra represented the international team in a series against Sri Lanka. Santosh excelled with the bat, amassing an impressive 325 runs across five matches, earning the prestigious title of Best Batsman of the Series.
