Commemorative Stamp Released for 200th Anniversary of Vadtal Temple
Vadtal, Gujarat: In a significant celebration of the 200th anniversary of the revered Vadtal Temple, a commemorative postage stamp was released on November 9, 2024, honoring the temple’s pivotal role as the spiritual capital of the Shree Swaminarayan Sampradaya. The release ceremony took place in Vadtal, Gujarat, attended by Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel, Acharya Maharaj 1008 Shri Rakeshprasad Ji, Dr. Santvallabhswami (Chief Executive of Vadtladham Mandir), and Postmaster General of Vadodara Shri Dineshkumar Sharma, among other dignitaries and respected Pujya Swamishris.
Vadtal Temple, built under the guidance of Bhagwan Shree Swaminarayan by Sadguru Shree Brahmanand Swami and Sadguru Shree Aksharanand Swami, is crafted in the shape of a lotus, symbolizing unity across all religions. Its intricate architecture includes nine golden domes and depictions of various divine avatars, representing its spiritual significance and its dedication to fostering religious harmony.
Designed by Jairaj T.G., the commemorative stamp showcases the traditional and ornate architecture of Vadtal Temple, highlighting its lotus structure and rich heritage. The release of this stamp pays tribute to the temple’s historical and spiritual influence, which continues to inspire countless devotees worldwide.
