Mansukh Mandaviya Chairs Review Meeting on Revamping Shram Suvidha and Samadhan Portals

New Delhi: Union Minister for Labour & Employment and Youth Affairs & Sports, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, today chaired a high-level review meeting to discuss the revamping of the Shram Suvidha and Samadhan portals, aimed at improving their efficiency, user-friendliness, and effectiveness for both employers and workers.

In his address, Dr. Mandaviya emphasized, “The revamping of Shram Suvidha and Samadhan Portals is focused on enhancing efficiency, streamlining compliance processes, and making them more user-friendly. By upgrading the technology and integrating advanced features, we aim to create a more effective compliance framework for establishments across the country. This will not only benefit employers but also ensure better protection and services for workers, who form the backbone of India’s workforce.”

The revamp follows an announcement made during the Union Budget 2024-25, where Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman highlighted the need for a simplified and more accessible compliance system for industries and trade. In response, the Ministry of Labour and Employment has initiated a comprehensive overhaul of both the Shram Suvidha and Samadhan portals.

The revamped portals will incorporate upgraded technology, a more intuitive user interface, and automated processes to streamline tasks such as case and claim processing. These enhancements will include notification alerts for compliance deadlines, suggestions for improvement, and easier identification of non-compliant establishments.

A key feature of the revamp is the introduction of bilingual support, enabling broader access for individuals across the country. In addition, the portals will offer interactive tools, such as video and audio tutorials, as well as live chat support to guide users through various processes.

The Samadhan portal will undergo significant improvements, including a smoother conciliation process for dispute resolution. It will also facilitate the online registration of bipartite settlements and allow workers to file claims for benefits such as gratuity, wages, equal remuneration, and maternity benefits. Importantly, workers will be able to track the daily progress of cases in the Central Government Industrial Tribunals (CGIT) from their mobile phones or computers, enhancing transparency and accessibility.

The Shram Suvidha portal, which assists employers with Labour Law compliance, will be revamped with simplified registration forms, returns, and license processes. Employers will also benefit from improved data sharing between enforcement agencies, ensuring faster identification and rectification of non-compliant establishments. Additionally, features like predictive analysis and customized dashboards will provide valuable insights for better policy-making.
