Indian Armed Forces Conduct First-Ever Precise Para-Drop of Aarogya Maitri Health Cube at 15,000 Feet
Bhubaneswar: The Indian Air Force (IAF) and Indian Army successfully carried out a first-of-its-kind precise para-drop operation of the Aarogya Maitri Health Cube at a high-altitude area close to 15,000 feet. This mission marks a significant achievement in the deployment of critical trauma care resources to remote and challenging environments.
The Aarogya Maitri Health Cube, an indigenously developed trauma care unit, is part of Project BHISHM (Bharat Health Initiative for Sahyog Hita and Maitri). This initiative aligns with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of providing essential supplies to Humanitarian Aid and Disaster Relief (HADR) affected areas, ensuring timely and effective medical assistance in emergencies.
The IAF utilized its advanced C-130J Super Hercules tactical transport aircraft to airlift and precisely para-drop the cube. The Indian Army’s Para Brigade, renowned for its operational excellence and agility, played a crucial role in the successful deployment, leveraging their advanced precision drop equipment to ensure the cube reached its designated location accurately.
