Bhubaneswar: Newly appointed Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja convened a preliminary meeting with the Secretaries of various Departments at the Lok Seva Bhavan on Monday.
During the meeting, Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary Anu Garg welcomed Ahuja and highlighted his extensive administrative experience.
Chief Secretary Ahuja, in his address, emphasized the importance of maintaining Odisha’s reputable administrative system. He urged the implementation of various plans and programs in line with the election manifesto of the newly formed government. He offered constructive suggestions for the effective execution of these initiatives.
The meeting also discussed key upcoming events, including the upcoming budget presentation, the smooth management of the Puri Rath Yatra, and related arrangements for the President’s visit.
Ahuja stressed the need for timely completion of projects, urging departments to overcome minor obstacles that could cause delays. He highlighted the importance of creativity, transparency, and good governance in executing plans and programs.
Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, and Commissioner-cum-Secretaries from various Departments engaged in discussions with the Chief Secretary about ongoing and future plans.
Chief Secretary Ahuja encouraged Secretaries to bring innovation to their activities, utilize technology, and ensure accountability. He sought the cooperation of all Secretaries to ensure the smooth execution of various tasks and initiatives.
