30 Odisha Administrative Service Officers Promoted to IAS

Bhubaneswar: In a significant administrative development, President Droupadi Murmu on Tuesday approved the promotion of 30 Odisha Administrative Service (OAS) officers to the prestigious Indian Administrative Service (IAS). The promotions fill vacancies determined by the Central Government for the years 2023 and 2024, strengthening Odisha’s bureaucratic framework.

According to the official notification, the promoted officers will serve under probation until further orders. They have been assigned to the Odisha Cadre under Rule 5(1) of the Indian Administrative Service (Cadre) Rules, 1954. Their inclusion in the IAS is expected to enhance governance and administrative efficiency in the state.

The promotions have been categorized into two select lists:

  • Select List 2023: Officers promoted against vacancies arising between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2023.

  • Select List 2024: Officers promoted against vacancies arising between January 1, 2024, and December 31, 2024.
