Youtuber Paras Singh Remanded for One More Day

Itanagar: Youtuber and gamer Paras Singh landed into trouble after posting a video on his youtube channel with racial slur against MLA Ninong Ering and stating that Arunachal Pradesh is a part of China.

A three member SIT team led by inspector Techi Vijay went to Punjab to bring Paras to Itanagar on remand. The 22 year old accused was arrested by Ludhiana police on 26 May. On Thursday evening he was brought to Itanagar and produced in the court of CJM, Yupia on May 28. He has been sent on one day remand for further interrogation by police.

Paras had studied upto Class X, runs two monetized youtube channels named Paras Official with 4.67 lakh subscribers and Paras Gamer with 3.94 lakh subscribers.

He mostly earns by posting videos about PUBG games on his channels.

During the interrogation it has been revealed that he made the controversial video to gain widespread attention and views, so that his monetary income could be maximized. After learning about MLA Ninong Ering’s letter to PM Narendra Modi requesting to ban the relaunch of  PUBG mobile in India, Paras feared loss of income.
