Youth as Catalysts for Change: Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya Addresses ‘Impact With Youth Conclave 2024’ in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: Union Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports and Labour & Employment, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, delivered the keynote address today at the ‘Impact With Youth Conclave 2024’ in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The event, jointly organized by United Nations India, UNICEF, UNICEF YuWaah, and Elixir Foundation in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, drew hundreds of young people passionate about unlocking their potential and contributing to India’s development.

In his address, Dr. Mandaviya emphasized the pivotal role of youth in realizing the vision of a developed India, or “Viksit Bharat.” He stated, “The youth are not just the leaders of tomorrow but the change-makers of today. Your energy, innovation, and dedication are key to realizing Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047.”

The Union Minister highlighted that India, as a youthful nation, places immense confidence in its younger generation. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the government is committed to empowering youth by providing them with the best opportunities to thrive.

Dr. Mandaviya also spoke about the transformative potential of digital technologies, urging young people to register on the MY Bharat platform. He mentioned that the government has introduced this platform to align the country’s future with the changing times. “In the coming days, MY Bharat will serve as a one-stop solution for all the needs of the youth,” he said. “Whether it’s information, career applications, or form submissions, this platform will be accessible not only at the national level but also internationally,” he added.

A special segment of the event, titled ‘Yuvaa Samvaad,’ featured an interactive dialogue between Dr. Mandaviya and the youth. Numerous participants shared inspiring stories of overcoming challenges and driving positive change in their communities, highlighting their potential and determination to make meaningful contributions to society.

Dr. Mandaviya also encouraged the youth to actively participate in the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s #Plant4Mother initiative, emphasizing the crucial role of young people in environmental conservation and sustainable practices.

Cynthia McCaffrey, UNICEF Representative in India and Co-Chair of the UNICEF YuWaah board, also addressed the conclave, stressing the importance of engaging youth in global action. She underscored the need for young people to be at the forefront of driving positive change in their communities and beyond.
