
Bhubaneswar: Eminent Odia writer and poet Yashodhara Mishra will get the Sahitya Akademi Award 2020 in Odia for her book titled, Samudrakula Ghara. The Sahitya Akademi announced the awards for 2020 in Odia and Malayalam languages today.
A jury comprising eminent Odia litterateurs Dr. Binapani Mohanty, Dr. Pratibha Satpathy and Ramakanta Ratha selected Mishra’s book as per the rules and procedures of the akademi.
She will get the award in the form of a casket containing an engraved copper-plaque and a cheque of one lakh rupees.
The Sahitya Akademi Awards for 2020 for literary works in 20 other languages, however, had been announced in March this year.
