
Indian wrestler Bajrang Punia wins bronze medal at Tokyo Olympics by convincingly beating Daulet Niyazbekov of Kazakhstan in the men’s freestyle 65kg event today.
He beat the Kazakhstan wrestler with 8-0 points in an one-sides match for the bronze medal. Bajrang had earlier gone down to Azerbaijan’s Haji Aliyev in the semi-final on Friday.
Bajrang became sixth ever Indian wrestler to win an Olympic medal, and second grappler from India in the ongoing Olympic games to have a podium finish after Ravi Kumar Dahiya’s silver medal earlier .
