Soaring to an impressive height of 206 feet (125-foot-tall statue erected on an 81-foot podium), the statue now stands as an iconic symbol of Dr B.R. Ambedkar’s enduring legacy.

The unveiling ceremony marked a significant occasion, drawing a large audience to witness the grandeur of the “Statue of Social Justice.” Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, in a momentous message, celebrated Dr Ambedkar as a transformative figure whose impact on the lives of Dalits, backward classes, and women reverberates across all spheres of society.

This colossal structure joins the elite league of the world’s tallest 50 statues, with Sardar Patel’s towering 790-foot statue holding the title of the tallest. The “Statue of Social Justice” is positioned on an 81-foot podium, serving as a powerful tribute to Dr B.R. Ambedkar and a symbol of the ongoing struggle for social justice.

The second tallest statue of Dr B.R. Ambedkar globally is located in neighboring Telangana, standing at 175 feet from the ground, mounted on a 50-foot pedestal. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy urged citizens to embrace the statue’s symbolic significance and recognize its role in promoting Dr Ambedkar’s ideals on a global scale.

Constructed with approximately 400 tonnes of steel, the unveiled statue stands as a testament to Dr B.R. Ambedkar’s enduring legacy, inspiring generations and promoting the principles of justice and equality worldwide.
