World Skill Center Extends Admission Deadline to May 15 for 2026–27 Session

Bhubaneswar: The World Skill Center (WSC) has extended the deadline for submission of online applications for its 2026–27 academic session to May 15, giving aspirants across the country additional time to apply for its industry-oriented programmes.

The entrance examination for admission is scheduled to be held on May 31, 2026, while the new academic session will commence in June.

WSC offers a range of advanced technical courses under its School of Engineering, including Mechanical and Electrical Services, Mechatronics, Electrical Technology, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, Vertical Transportation (Lift Technology) and Precision Engineering. Candidates with a two-year ITI, a three-year diploma, or a BE/BTech degree from a recognised institution are eligible to apply.

Under the School of Services, programmes such as Beauty and Wellness are available for candidates with Plus II, ITI or relevant diplomas. This year, the institute has expanded its offerings with new-age courses like Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Hospitality and Hotel Operations, and Digital Animation to align with evolving industry demands.

In a bid to attract national talent, the Odisha government has reserved 10% of seats for candidates from outside the state. Interested applicants can apply online through the official WSC website or contact the toll-free helpline for assistance.

The institute is known for its strong industry linkage and practical training model, aimed at enhancing employability. With modern infrastructure, advanced laboratories and a finishing school approach, WSC focuses on bridging the gap between education and employment.

Students at the centre are provided with free hostel accommodation, uniforms and transportation, along with placement opportunities at both national and international levels, making it a preferred destination for skill-based education.
