
New Delhi: In a proactive move towards ensuring the safety and empowerment of women employees, the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (MDoNER) conducted a comprehensive session led by Joint Secretary Anuradha S. Chagti, Chairperson of the Internal Complaints Committee. The session, held at the Vigyan Bhawan Annexe complex, focused on addressing women-related issues and imparting self-defence techniques.
Accompanied by Monalisa Dash, Joint Secretary, and Suchita Gupta, Senior Assistant, Anuradha S. Chagti chaired the session, which was attended by all women employees of the ministry and Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) officers posted in the complex. The session also welcomed Vaishali Dhoot, CEO of the Streebal Foundation, as an external member of the committee, who shared her expertise as a veteran Self-Defence Instructor and 4th DAN Black Belt Achiever in Taekwondo Martial Arts.
The session encompassed a wide range of topics, including basic self-defence techniques, situational awareness, punches, blocks, and other practical methods to enhance personal safety. Ms. Dhoot underscored the significance of prioritizing self-care and physical fitness, urging every woman to allocate at least 10 minutes daily to exercise and self-defence training.
