
Bhubaneswar: The state government today announced new unlocking rules for the month of September. There will be no weekend shutdown across the state while the night curfew from 10pm to 5am will be effective in urban areas. The special relief commission informed that all types of shops and malls may remain open during the unlock period from 5 am till 10 pm every day.
All activities and establishments will be fully functional except social, religious, political and cultural gatherings. Exhibitions, trade fairs, and melas will remain prohibited. Auditoriums, assembly halls and similar facilities shall remain open only for official meetings following Covid appropriate seating norms.
Marriage, thread ceremony, funerals, last rites and related gatherings will be allowed with approval from local authorities with a ceiling of 250 persons including hosts, guests, priests, catering and other support staff.
All museums and libraries will be allowed to open with COVID restrictions. Cinema halls, malls can now operate with full capacity.
