Vivek Ramaswamy Withdraws from 2024 Presidential Race, Throws Support Behind Trump

Vivek Ramaswamy, the former biotech executive and multi-millionaire, has officially stepped back from his 2024 presidential campaign, announcing his decision on Monday. Despite garnering attention for his unconventional bid, Ramaswamy failed to gain the necessary momentum in the Republican Party’s initial nominating contest in Iowa. In a surprising turn, he has chosen to endorse former President Donald Trump.

Born in Ohio to immigrant parents from southern India, the 38-year-old Ramaswamy emerged as one of the unexpected figures in the 2024 Republican race, largely dominated by Trump’s influence.

Ramaswamy, known for his unwavering support for Trump throughout the campaign, showcased a youthful demeanor, considerable financial resources, and an assertive campaigning style, which likely positioned him as a notable figure in future Republican politics. However, in the crucial days leading up to the Iowa caucus, Trump took an unexpected turn, branding Ramaswamy as a “fraud” and asserting that supporting him equated to supporting the “other side.”
