Virat Kohli Requests Break from First Two Tests Against England Due to Personal Reasons

Mumbai: India’s cricket star Virat Kohli has requested to be withdrawn from the first two Tests of the upcoming IDFC First Bank Test series against England due to personal reasons. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has accepted his request, emphasizing their respect for his decision.

Virat Kohli personally spoke to Captain Rohit Sharma, the team management, and the selectors to convey his decision. While representing the country has always been his top priority, Kohli emphasized that certain personal situations demand his presence and undivided attention.

The BCCI has extended its support to the star batter, expressing confidence in the remaining squad members’ abilities to step up and deliver commendable performances in the Test series. The Men’s Selection Committee will name a replacement soon.

The BCCI has urged the media and fans to respect Virat Kohli’s privacy during this time and refrain from speculating on the nature of his personal reasons. The focus should remain on supporting the Indian cricket team as they embark on the upcoming challenges in the Test series.

Virat Kohli’s absence from the first two Tests against England will be a notable change for the Indian team, and cricket enthusiasts will await the announcement of the replacement player.
