Veteran Filmmaker David Dhawan Honoured with Lifetime Achievement Award at 69th Filmfare Awards

Gandhinagar: In a glittering ceremony at the 69th Filmfare Awards, renowned filmmaker David Dhawan was bestowed with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award, marking a glorious tribute to his illustrious career.

David Dhawan, a luminary in the realm of Bollywood comedy, has been a pioneering force for over four decades.

Throughout his prolific career, Dhawan’s directorial ventures have given rise to iconic on-screen duos, etching themselves into the cinematic legacy. Memorable pairings like Amitabh Bachchan-Govinda in ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan,’ Sanjay Dutt-Govinda in ‘Haseena Maan Jaayegi,’ and Akshay Kumar-Salman Khan in ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karogi’ have become synonymous with the laughter and entertainment he brought to audiences.

His last directorial venture was ‘Coolie No. 1’ (2020), featuring his son Varun Dhawan and talented actor Sara Ali Khan.
