
Bhubaneswar: The commencement of the Junior Artistic Gymnastics National Championships 2023-24 unfolded a riveting display of talent and skill in the men’s competition. The men’s team category of the Junior National Championship at the Gymnastics Centre, Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar, witnessed Uttar Pradesh securing Gold, Maharashtra clinching Silver, and West Bengal bagging Bronze.
In the men’s team category, Uttar Pradesh claimed the top spot with an all-around score of 278.40, while Maharashtra secured second place with a total of 274.25, and West Bengal earned the Bronze with 268.80 points. Odisha secured fourth place with a total of 267.00 points, while Delhi finished fifth with 253.95 points.
In the individual all-around ranking, Pranav Mishra from Uttar Pradesh claimed the top position with a total of 71.55 points. His impressive scores were 12.65 on the Floor Exercise, 10.90 on Pommel Horse, 12.60 on Rings, 12.15 on Vault, 11.65 on Parallel Bars, and 11.60 on Horizontal Bar.
Aaryan Davande from Maharashtra secured the second position with a total of 70.15 points. His scores included 11.70 on the Floor Exercise, 10.95 on Pommel Horse, 11.70 on Rings, 13.05 on Vault, 11.25 on Parallel Bars, and 11.50 on Horizontal Bar.
Odisha’s Alok Kumar claimed the third position with an all-around score of 68.90. His scores on different apparatus were 11.75 on Floor Exercise, 10.60 on Pommel Horse, 11.80 on Rings, 12.35 on Vault, 11.05 on Parallel Bars, and 11.35 on Horizontal Bar.
