Union Textiles Minister Inaugurates Garment Technology, Dyes & Handicrafts Exhibitions at Bharat Tex 2025

Greater Noida: The Union Minister of Textiles, Giriraj Singh, inaugurated key industry exhibitions on garment technology, dyes and chemicals, and handicrafts at the India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida. The event, organized under the umbrella of Bharat Tex 2025, serves as a precursor to the mega textile fair scheduled to take place at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, from February 14 to 17.

Bharat Tex 2025 is set to be one of the largest global textile events, spanning 2.2 million square feet of exhibition space with over 5,000 exhibitors. The New Delhi edition is expected to attract more than 6,000 international buyers from 110+ countries and over 1.2 lakh visitors, including policymakers, global CEOs, and industry leaders.

In his inaugural address, Giriraj Singh emphasized the importance of garment technology, sustainable dyes, and handicrafts in strengthening the textile value chain. He described Bharat Tex 2025 as a landmark initiative bringing together manufacturers, artisans, and industry leaders to drive innovation, sustainability, and global trade opportunities.

The India Expo Centre & Mart is hosting four major co-located events, each playing a critical role in India’s textile ecosystem. The Garment Technology Expo (GTE) 2025, South East Asia’s leading apparel production technology event, is showcasing state-of-the-art machinery, production processes, and innovative solutions to transform the apparel industry.

DyeChem World Bharat Tex 2025 focuses on sustainable dyes, chemicals, and innovative raw materials essential for the transition towards eco-friendly textile manufacturing. This segment highlights technological advancements that reduce environmental impact while maintaining product quality and efficiency.

The Indian Handicrafts Pavilion, featuring over 450 exhibitors, showcases handcrafted home décor, furnishings, fashion accessories, and Geographical Indication (GI) products. The event integrates traditional artisans into the textile and apparel industry, catering to the growing global demand for high-quality, handmade products.

Additionally, the India Sourcing Conclave (ISC), organized by the Sourcing Consultants Association, is being held at the India Expo Centre & Mart. The conclave features discussions on global sourcing trends, export strategies, and foreign trade policies, aiming to position India as a leading global textile sourcing destination.

With over 1,000 exhibitors and thousands of visitors expected at the Greater Noida event, these exhibitions are set to be a key hub for networking, business collaborations, and industry advancements. Bharat Tex 2025 aligns with the government’s vision of enhancing textile exports, promoting sustainable manufacturing, and reinforcing India’s position as a global leader in the textile industry.
