Singapore: Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal, inaugurated Invest India’s new office in Singapore today, marking a significant milestone in India’s efforts to enhance its investment partnerships globally. This inauguration follows the announcement made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to Singapore on September 4-5, 2024.
As Invest India’s first overseas office, the Singapore location underscores India’s commitment to fostering deeper investment ties and simplifying engagement for global investors. The new office will serve as a dedicated contact point for companies in the region seeking to invest in India, promoting collaboration across various sectors.
During the inauguration ceremony, Minister Goyal emphasized the strategic importance of Singapore as a partner for India. “This office marks a new chapter in our efforts to strengthen economic cooperation with Singapore and the broader ASEAN region,” he stated. He also revealed plans to establish more overseas Invest India offices in the coming months to facilitate seamless access for global investors to India’s dynamic and growing economy.
