Shri Nitin Gadkari shared the news through a social media post, emphasizing the government’s commitment to enhancing infrastructure in Karnataka. The 4-Laning initiative is a crucial component of the Panaji-Hyderabad EC10 corridor, connecting key industrial hubs in the region.

The EC10 corridor plays a pivotal role in linking significant industrial centers, including Panaji, known for fishing, tourism, agriculture, and pharmaceutical industries; Belgavi, renowned for food grains, sugarcane, cotton, tobacco, oilseed, and milk products; Raichur, recognized for rice, cotton, groundnut, and pulses; and Hyderabad, distinguished for IT, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, and as a hub for various startups situated in Goa, Karnataka, and Telangana states, respectively.

The utilization of the Hybrid Annuity Mode reflects the government’s innovative approach to financing large-scale infrastructure projects, ensuring optimal resource utilization and timely project completion.

The significant investment of Rs. 2675.31 crore underscores the government’s dedication to creating a well-connected and modern transportation network, fostering regional development, and contributing to the overall socio-economic growth of Karnataka.
