New Delhi: Union Minister of Textiles, Giriraj Singh, inaugurated Bharat Tex 2025 today at Bharat Mandapam, marking the beginning of one of the world’s largest textile expos. Organized by a consortium of 12 Textile Export Promotion Councils and supported by the Ministry of Textiles, the event is set to run from February 14-17, covering the entire textile value chain from raw materials to high-end fashion.
Bharat Tex 2025 has drawn participation from over 5,000 exhibitors and representatives from more than 120 countries, highlighting India’s growing influence in the global textile trade. The event is centered around two key themes—building resilient global value chains and advancing textile sustainability.
In his address, Minister Giriraj Singh emphasized India’s deep-rooted textile heritage and its evolving role as a global leader in sustainable textile production. “Bharat Tex 2025 is not just an exhibition but a platform to drive investment, foster innovation, and showcase India’s 5F vision—Farm to Fibre, Fabric, Fashion, and Foreign Markets,” he said.
The four-day event features a wide range of activities, including a trade fair and expo, global-scale textile conferences, CEO roundtables, and policy discussions. High-value B2B and G2G meetings, strategic investment discussions, and product launches are set to drive key business collaborations. Over 70 conference sessions will bring together industry veterans, global retail leaders, and policymakers to discuss trade shifts, AI-driven manufacturing, technical textiles, and the future of sustainable fashion.
Alongside modern textile innovations, the event celebrates India’s cultural heritage with traditional displays, fashion shows, and live demonstrations of indigenous weaving techniques. A concurrent exhibition at the India Expo Centre and Mart, Greater Noida, from February 12-15, showcases garment machinery, dyes, chemicals, and handicrafts, further broadening the scope of Bharat Tex 2025.
With its blend of heritage and modernity, Bharat Tex 2025 positions India as a sustainable and reliable sourcing hub for global textile companies. The event is expected to shape industry trends, drive international investments, and reinforce India’s commitment to innovation and sustainability in the textile sector.
